Install and configure Oracle Warehouse Builder 11.2.0.3
The OWB contains the following components
- The OWB Client (which includes the Design Center and the Control Center Manager)
- The OWB Browser
- Control Center Service
- Control Center Agent
- The Repository
Oracle database 11g release 2 contains all the components of owb.
Depending on your business needs, OWB provides five topologies for installation
- Single-machine topology
- The client and the database service separate the topology
- Multi-database topology
- Client, control center service, database service separation topology
- Control Center Agent topology
Single-machine topology
All components of OWB run on a single computer.
Client, service separation topology (client recommended installation of owb11.2 standalone version of the installation)
Multi-database topology
Client, CCS, Server Split topology
CCA topology
This installation configuration to the client server topology in order to.
First, install the client on Windows.
To the official website to download the installation package OWB_11.2.0.3_Windows_x86-64.zip, to extract. as follows
Click the setup.bat batch file
Click Next
Select owb home directory and product name, click Next
Cancel the option "I want to receive security updates via My Oracle Support" and click Next.
Click the "Yes" button
Click the Install button
At this point, the installation is complete, click the Exit button.
Second, install the server-side (Linux)
Database version 11.2.0.4.0, so the server does not need to install OWB, just two users can unlock

SQL> conn / as sysdba
Connected.
SQL> alter user owbsys identified by owbsys account unlock;

SQL> alter user owbsys_audit identified by owbsys_audit account unlock;

Third, in the Repository to create the first work area (in the database side)

Click Next
Enter the database connection information and click Next
Select Manage Warehouse Builder workspace and click Next
Select Create a new Warehouse Builder workspace and click Next
Select Create a workspace with a new user and click Next
Enter the password for the system user and click Next
Click Next
Create a database user for the workspace, specifying the name of the workspace. Click Next
Enter the password for the Repository user and click Next.
If the graphical interface is not started on the server locally, the following error will be reported.
